Church description

We are an evangelical church planted 17 years ago. Plattsmouth is a bedroom community of around 7000 people 20 miles from Omaha and 50 miles from Lincoln. Plattsmouth Bible Church is part of the Berean Fellowship of Churches (www.weareberean.org). We are focused on proclaiming the message of the gospel of Jesus Christ (forgiveness of sins, restoration to God through His life, death, burial, and resurrection) and personal and corporate involvement in His mission of making more followers of Him as we go.

We are Bible-based, preaching verse by verse. Our music is a mix of old and new, accompanied by a band, using Easy Worship and projection for congregational involvement.

Our youth group has lost 2 youth pastors in the last 2 years (both leaving on good terms - change of life for them). We are looking for someone willing to disciple and lead middle and high school students directly as they proclaim the gospel and make disciples.

We also will include oversight of our children's ministry (3 yrs through 6th grade) in this job.

We are a friendly church devoted to reaching our community and involved in regular outreach opportunities (jail ministry, monthly food giveaway, twice-a-year clothing giveaway and other connection-based outreaches). We are on the front end of putting the principles of T4T into practice. We are part of the #NoPlaceLeft network. We are a church affiliate of Eternity Bible College in Simi Valley, California.
