United Methodist Church with 1,200 members in southeast Charlotte, NC. We are known as a missional church with a vital youth ministry. Our church vision is to be the “Hands, Feet and Heart of Jesus Christ.” In youth, there are 75+ active youth, plus a committed, in place, group of 40+ counselors/volunteers. “Witness” is our youth praise band, lead by our Contemporary Worship Leader. Program includes yearly retreats and summer mission trips, that seek to build discipleship, community and service. Excellent Confirmation program meets all school year. We have a well organized youth program designed to grow disciples of Jesus Christ. Our youth ministry enjoys strong support, as St. Stephen UMC is vested in our youth ministry.

St. Stephen UMC has two services Traditional (9:00 a.m.)and Contemporary (11:15). St. Stephen fully embraces and lives into our vision to “be the Hands, Feet and Heart of Jesus Christ.” That vision has now taken us to Guatemala, where we are paying for and helping build a church. We have a full ministry program lead by a capable staff of 13 full and part-time servants; plus the preschool staff in our 119 children’s preschool/extended day program. Our staff serves together as a team with an emphasis on building relationships and supporting each other.
