Job Description

Christ Church United Methodist in Louisville, Kentucky is seeking a full-time Youth Minister who will, together with the Children through Youth Ministry and Music Ministry team members, develop and implement an exciting, spiritually transformative, and growing ministry to youth and their families from 6th grade to 12th grade. Building relationships with youth and their families, developing teams of volunteers and empowering parents are the core responsibilities to help youth become living proof of God’s love, one person at a time. Average worship attendance is 1,100/week with a youth ministry involvement of 100/week with potential to reach over 400 youth. The Youth Minister must have a deep love of God, passion, and a vision for ministry to youth in a large church setting; experience in developing adult volunteer leaders; excellent organization and administrative abilities; and skills in building teamwork among fellow staff and volunteers. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in Youth Ministry or with teens in related field required; large church setting preferred.
• College degree required.
• Professional certification preferred: Christian Education, Youth Ministry, or equivalent
• Understands a variety of Christian Education models
• Advocates United Methodist theology and doctrine
