Christ Church

We are a mid-sized Episcopal Church (approx. 600 people) in downtown Macon. The majority of our parishioners live outside of the downtown area and are middle to upper class, well educated, and many are professionals in the community. Our worship is traditional and liturgical but the youth (and some of the younger adults) are interested in a more contemporary worship experience on at least an occasional basis. We have a youth program now but the youth minister is very part time and the program is needing further development to grow. We have many families with children and youth of all ages active in the parish. There is also ample opportunity for outreach in the community and there is interest among the youth to expand their involvement in outreach and in mission. The high school group also is hungry for more opportunity for Bible study and discipleship. It is a vibrant parish with people eager to go deeper in their faith.
