Full-Time Director of Youth Ministries
Would you like to work in paradise? Memorial United Methodist Church, located on Amelia Island, is looking for their next full-time experienced Director of Youth Ministries. Nestled in the historic district of quaint Fernandina Beach, Florida, this friendly church has experienced growth in young families over recent years. Even though we are the oldest United Methodist Church in the Florida Annual Conference, we find themselves looking forward more than backward.
The Director of Youth Ministries will assist in fulfilling the mission and vision of Memorial United Methodist Church by partnering with a team of leaders to develop relationships and build programs that support the intentional spiritual growth of youth grades 6th – 12th. Primary responsibilities include the following: providing innovative leadership in the development and implementation of all aspects of youth ministry programming; equipping families, leaders, and volunteers to serve in ministry; and, developing relationships that lead to a team ministering to each student.
The successful candidate will have experience in leading a youth program and a passion for serving youth and their families. A Bachelor’s Degree is required, a graduate degree in a related field is preferred. The candidate should have the ability to serve as a spiritual role model, lead a team, and be a team member. Finally, the candidate should be in alignment with the beliefs and practices of the United Methodist tradition and theology.
