We are looking for a Youth/Worship Director to lead two of our growing and vital ministries.

Job Description

Student Ministries/Worship Director – Desert Song Community Church

Desert Song Community Church is a part of the Open Bible Standard Churches Denomination. The church was planted in Redmond, Oregon in 2003. Sunday Morning attendance is around 160 with Adults and Kids. We had a total of 250 at our 2019 Easter Service. One can check us out at DesertSong.org as well as Facebook and Instagram.

Desert Song Community Church is located in beautiful Redmond, Oregon. We are downtown and have great visibility, access to parks, food, fun and of course lots of sunshine.

Redmond/Bend is currently one of the fastest growing areas in America and number 1 in Oregon. If you like experiencing the great outdoors then this is an ideal place to live and raise a family. There is so much to do, hiking, camping, fishing, hunting, bicycling, snowboard/skiing, etc. Central Oregon’s main airport is also in Redmond with service providers of Alaska, United, American and Delta making it easy to fly in and out of Redmond to any destination.

The Position:
Student Ministries Director/Worship Ministries Director: We are a growing and active church and see this position as a full time opportunity (35-40hrs). ECHO Student Ministries has grown from 8 students a year ago to now averaging 50+ on a Sunday Night. We have a young adult youth staff of about 8 helpers in place with various parent help as well. We also have a student led worship team for Sunday nights. We have a yearly denomination summer camp, and have done other youth conferences (Gen. Unleashed, Thrive Unleased, Ignite etc) and this summer our first missions outreach to Tepic, MX. We are a very Student Ministry friendly congregation.

Worship Director:
We have a growing worship team that includes multiple musicians and singers. Looking for someone to lead and build team as well as raise up other team members. We have a stage manager and a sound/video tech leaders in place which the worship director oversees. We tend to do songs from Hillsong, Bethel, Elevation, Jesus Culture, Paul Barrett etc.

Requirements:
Calling to Jesus Kingdom building ministry, love for Jesus and people, passion for God’s Word, His Church, students, worship, discipleship, and evangelism. Committed to team ministry.

Responsibilities:
Be committed to personal spiritual growth. Bring vision, run, oversee and plan for all aspects of ECHO Student Ministries. Connect with students. For worship, lead and build the team. Maintain song list, schedule teams and services on Planning Center, Input songs and help with building Pro Presenter for Sunday morning service. Recruit and develop new worship team members.

We believe in doing church as a team. So we are looking for someone who has the mindset and heart to do ministry together as such.

Desert Song Community Church

We have a growing Student Ministry of about 50-60 students who come on a Sunday night. We have a young adult youth staff of about 10 and a student led worship team.

Our Sunday morning services are contemporary, full of life, love and learning. We are a church who is committed to help people Love - Grow - Serve - Live - Go. We love helping people find their gifts, train them up and release them into ministry roles.
