Child and Youth Program Coordinator

Job Description

The Child and Youth Program Coordinator helps the youth ministry accomplish provide a warm community, partnering with parents, to lead kids and young people into adulthood with a vibrant, sticky faith by serving in a part-time capacity to handle the day-to-day operation of the youth ministry. This person serving in this position guides the faith development of children (nursery - 5th grade), youth (6th -12th grade) and partners with parents through regular gatherings, special events, equipping parents and developing volunteer teams.

Responsibilities:

· Lead intentional engagement to students: both those already connected to CCOH, and those who are not yet connected.

· Recruit, develop, support, and coordinate volunteer teams of child and youth leaders.

· Implement regular large group/small group teaching content for kids ministry (Faith Factory) and youth ministry.

· Identify and provide opportunities for students to serve in the church and community.

· Communicate weekly with parents:

· Help coordinate special events: Youth Retreats, Easter Party, Back to School Bash, Trunk or Treat, Kid's Christmas Party.

· Support Faith Stepping Stones Milestones

Expectations:

· 2+ years of previous experience serving in youth ministry (paid or volunteer)

· 20-25 hours, per week; particularly Sunday mornings and week evenings.

· 5+ years of active involvement in a Christian faith community, demonstrating a commitment to Christian values and beliefs.
