I am seeking to be where God will allow me to be so that I may disciple, yet still learn myself. Minister, yet still be ministered to from those around me. For I to must understand that I am not above needing the gospel myself.
Observational counseling and as a house parent Provide a nurturing family environment for six boys ages 11-18 whereby they heal emotionally, grow in character, experience peace of mind and stability. Establish appropriate boundaries in a nurturing and respectful way letting each child know his limits and consequences for his actions. Teach responsibility by allowing more independence as a child learns to distinguish between his needs and wants. Foster a solving-problem environment that develops a child’s behavioral skills. Encourage communication and enforcing consequences. Structure healthy living styles - creating change with the issues that matter most to their development – nutrition, drug awareness, bullying, decision-making, and stress management. Reinforce the power of positive thought – enlightenment through strong Christian faith-based values.
As a counslor in schools I did Motivational Speaker/ Testimonial Speaker/ Counselor and the requirements were as such, Meet with teachers/ counselors to schedule prison trips and activity’s for students to help them grow.
• 2013 Stats- I spoke with 4248 students in presentations, I did 61 One-on-One follow-ups with students • 2014 Stats- I spoke with 3331 students in presentations, I did 335 One-on-One follow-ups with students. • 2015 Stats- I spoke with 1256 students in presentations, I did 183 One-on-One follow-ups with students • Follow up with students by calling them, going to their school, and going their house as well.
Working with Prison Prevention Ministries required me to go into to 80 different schools in 6 different counties and talk to students about life choices, drug and gang awareness and where wrong choices can lead an individual to from my own testimony
Bachelors degree in theology with an emphasis in biblical studies.
