Mature, organized, self-starter, life-long learner, proficient in 21st century technology and communication, values long-term planning, and deeply hopes and prays for youth to experience unconditional love of Christ that enables them to see themeseves as uniquely gifted and signficant members of the Body of Christ now and always.
In my over six years exerience in Youth Ministry, I have built rituals, traditions and youth groups thats are passionate about Jesus Christ and compassionate about the world. Youth experience oportunties to grow in their own faith through bible studies, faith practices and directed 'burning questions,' lessons. I have lead youth in summer experiences, such as Presbyterian Youth Triennium and Montreat Youth Conferences. Once a year, youth share their faith through planning, writing and leading Youth Sunday worship. Youth also practice compassion through service to their church, their community and the world. Supporting youth mission experiences, like alternative VBS, mission trips, nationally and internationally, and service to community organziations like CROP Hunger Walk. Youth are also just able to be kids, in fun, recreational and fellowship opportunities. Haunted House trips, snow tubing, lock-ins and mystery trips are spread through out the year, ensuring youth group is a place where they belong. I am joyfully, seeking where God may call me next to develope, explore and live into God's continual unfolding dream for the church.
