Erin Reed Cooper's résuméLast updated
I am an ordained minister and passionate educator committed to building Christian community.
I have served several congregations as minister and associate minister. I was ordained by the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in 2004.
Currently, I am the editor of InsideOut, a curriculum produced by Chalice Press for Christian camp ministries. I hire writers, direct the development process, and interact with our partner denominations, their outdoor ministry associations (UMCRM, PCCCA,OMA, ADOM, and more) and their representatives. More information about this resources can be found at www.christiancampresources.com
Last summer, I served the Calvin Center as their program director. I developed programming for outside groups as well as the Presbytery of Greater Atlanta. I hired and managed summer staff and oversaw the summer camping program.
At Sandy Springs Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) I served as Associate Minister (as well as Transitional Lead Minister). I directed all Christian Education, children and youth ministries, and supervised the Director of The Day School. Additionally, I developed and led weekly worship ministries, preached monthly, and served as a Pastoral caregiver.
At West Street Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) I served as Interim Associate Minister and was responsible for youth, children and educational ministries. I introduced mission trip and developed a spiritual disciplines framework for the youth group, created a Children Worship and Wonder chapel and implemented a rotation-model Sunday school for the children's ministries. Additionally, I preached monthly and led worship weekly, and assisted in Pastoral care.
As a student minister, I served two other congregations. Before pursuing ministry, I worked in social services at a group home, as a lifeguard and swim instructor, and in retail sales.
