I believe that Jesus Christ came to earth fully human; died for our sins; rose from death; is God’s gift to His creation. I am passionate for youth and their walk. The Bible is “God Breathed” and must be used to transform us all into Christ’s image.


I have been teaching within the public school system in Indiana for sixteen years. My philosophy has always been to give each of my students, from the most to the least musically talented, the same care and attention. Every student I encounter each day I try to influence in a positive manner; you do not know how their day has been and you could very well be the only smile and greeting they receive.

As a public school teacher, I have seen many students leave high school without the tools they will need to fight off the temptations Satan will throw at them. Some of them even have a false sense of security because the attended a youth group; however, they were mostly spent playing games and eating pizza. The kids do not know what it is to live a life to please God and how to act according to His expectations. I currently hold a valid Indiana teaching license, and I am working on my seminary masters.

In my years as an educator, I have developed many skills which will easily move out of the educational system. Technology has always been a second passion of mine. I have worked to educate students on the importance of being able to adapt to tools as they are developed. I have given many workshops to peers to help them become more familiar with different tools we had available to use. I gave classes on creating a web page on both an FTP system as well as a simple database system where they simply add data. I have created and maintained several web pages of my own. I enjoy working with technology; I am willing and eager to learn new tools.

I have been responsible for maintaining a sound record of several different extra-curricular accounts. There is a large amount of money that comes in and out of a band program throughout the year; I was able to track and manage three separate accounts. I pride myself on leading by a good example as well as being a good steward of the department and corporation money.

I have been active in recruiting the best adults to help me run the program and find a way for them to “plug in” and be of assistance. I work well to accomplish given tasks on my own, but I also know that there is a great deal of comfort in knowing you are on a good team. This is the connection I have with the Band Boosters as well as the several staff members I have had to hire over the years.
I look forward to the next step God has planned for me. I know will be in the ministry at some point when it is aligned with His timing. Thank you for consideration for your position, and I look forward to speaking with you.
