Founding member of the Anglican Student Fellowship at the University of Alabama.
Near-annual involvement with “From This Day Forward,” an outdoor drama portraying recent Waldensian history. Seasonal volunteer work at the Waldensian Trail of Faith in Valdese, North Carolina.
Ordained to the Diaconate on 2 October 2016 in Black Mountain, North Carolina.
Ordained to the Presbyterate on 6 August 2017 in Black Mountain, North Carolina.
Ordinations conferred by Bishops of the Apostolic Celtic Church, an Independent Jurisdiction in the Ultrajectine Tradition.
September 2017 – August 2018: Fulltime Volunteer Resident at Agape Centro Ecumenico in Prali, Italy. The Ecumenical Center was founded by Rev. Tullio Vinay, and the Waldensian Church, in 1947 to help heal the spiritual wounds of WWII; a Resident Group was established to manage and maintain the Center and its workings. In addition to my regular Residential roles, I also served as de facto Chaplain and held a Eucharistic service weekly.
2010 – 2016: University of Alabama at Tuscaloosa; B.A. in history and anthropology completed. Dean’s List, Spring 2012.
July – August 2013: Exchange with the University of Oxford - Worcester College.
2016 – 2017: Duke University – Master’s of Divinity. Theological program transferred:
2017 – Present: Distance learning at the Facoltà Valdese di Teologica in Rome, Italy.
Eagle Scout with Bronze Palm. Three-time delegate to foreign Scouting programs, including Japan and Korea (2006), England (2007), and the Philippines (2009-2010). Was an active youth leader in the Piedmont Council until age of 18, and continued to serve Troop 1 in Hickory, N.C. as an Assistant Scout Master. As a volunteer Scout Master, took a troop of forty Boy Scouts to the National Jamboree and a tour of Washington, D.C. in 2010. Was elected into the Order of the Arrow, a branch of the Boy Scouts of America dedicated to “going the extra mile.” Instructor of National Youth Leadership Training.
Wilderness survival and first aid. Extensive experience working with animals, including hands-on training of dogs and wolves.
Works well in teams and can readily assume a leadership role.
