Assist Pastor, Youth Ministry

Job Description

Tasks and assignments include:

- Middle school youth group
- High school youth group
- 6th-8th grade Sunday School
- Coordinating with Children’s Ministry Director to transition from children to youth ministry
- Assisting in worship leadership
- Leadership for camps and youth mission trips
- Pastoral care to youth and families
- Occasional preaching
- Managing, recruiting and training youth volunteers

Ojai Presbyterian has a wonderful and faithful congregation. We have a long history of a large view of the world that draws together people from a large swath of our culture in Jesus Christ. We have for many years focused our ministry on students, children and mission and are excited about the future. We preach the kingdom and seek to find ways to live it out in our community. There has been a long history in our congregation of finding ways to talk about complicated issues without conflict so that we can stay focused on our calling to proclaim the gospel.
