Job at Holy Apostles
We seek a Director of Student Ministries that can facilitate our mission of integrating students (grades 6-12) into our church mission as a Biblically faithful community that connects people to Christ through love in action.
Do you feel you are called to disciple teens and their families in their relationship with Christ? Then we are looking for you.
The Church of the Holy Apostles seeks a Director of Student Ministries to facilitate our mission of fully integrating students (grades 6-12) into our church mission as a biblically faithful community that connects people to Christ through love in action.
The Director of Student Ministries is responsible for developing a comprehensive approach to youth ministry in the areas of group building, worship, discipleship, mission, and outreach.
We believe that this is realized through relationships and serving. There is not one way to measure success for our students, instead we see many avenues for them to be discipled, including: serving in a wide variety of Sunday ministries, attending student Bible studies and events, or mission and outreach participation.
COTHA is located in one of the fastest-growing and top rated school districts in Texas, with Katy ISD projecting an enrollment of 100,000 students by 2027. In order to reach the next generation for Christ, our new Director of Student Ministries must build lasting relationships with students based on truth, grace and love. This creates an environment of love and respect that allows students to connect with parents, volunteers and each other to share their concerns and grow in Christ.
Some of the responsibilities of the job include providing vision, strategy, and development for all student ministry environments; recruiting and overseeing all volunteer leaders; training and equipping students; and collaborating with other staff members to realize our church mission and contribute to a productive and healthy team environment.
Qualified candidates will have a bachelor's degree and experience in student ministry or a similar field and must have a passion for mentoring tweens and teens. Full time or part time positions are available along with full benefits including pension and health care.
Church of the Holy Apostles (COTHA), is unique amongst Episcopal and liturgical churches for its contemporary worship, strong emphasis on family ministry, and a desire to be accessible to all who enter our doors. We focus all of our mission and ministry on the Gospel of Grace.
COTHA is located in one of the fastest-growing and top rated school districts in Texas, with Katy ISD projecting an enrollment of 100,000 students by 2027.
