Job Description

1. Provide guidance to all levels of Sunday School to enhance the learning
   experience
2. Work with the Session Education and Nurture Committee to deliver quality
   Christian education programming for all ages
3. Provide volunteer training as needed
4. Work with the Vacation Bible School Planning Team to review and select
   programs, select volunteers, support music, and facilitate the complete
   event
5. Coordinate seasonal children’s ministry events such as the annual Easter
   Egg Hunt, Trunk-or-Treat, and the Children’s Christmas Program
6. Coordinate summer mission trips and activities for older youth in
   cooperation with the pastor, Session, parents, and volunteer youth leaders
7. Attends monthly Session meetings and provides reports of activities
   related to Christian education and music ministry
8. Direct on-going youth ministry programming (K-12th grade) and preschool
   ministry as scheduled
9. Select and plan music for Sunday and other special services in
   collaboration with the Pastor and organist/pianist
10. Direct the volunteer church choir; provide instruction and support
11. Conduct weekly choir rehearsals; additional rehearsals as required for
    seasonal programs such as Christmas and Easter
12. Recruit, motivate, and supervise new members for/of the choir
13. Participate in outreach programs as appropriate
14. Communicate with the Pastor and Music and Worship Committee related
    to music selection, special programs, expenses, instrument repair, etc.
15. Catalog and maintain Pocket’s music library
16. Other duties as assigned
