Job at All Saints'
Full-Time Director of Youth Ministries
Job Description
All Saints’ is a large, downtown Episcopal church in Midtown Atlanta. We are a theologically progressive and vibrant community of all ages, including over 500 children and youth. We seek a Director of Youth Ministries to lead our youth community who will work alongside volunteer leaders and a staff team for Children and Youth Ministries. We seek someone with the following qualities:
An entrepreneurial spirit, capable of building relationships across all age groups and especially with a wide diversity of youth.
A care for organizational details and a desire to be fully immersed in the life of our youth as a mentor, teacher, and listener.
A leader who knows how to play among the large group and how to shepherd those who find themselves more on the margins.
A person who loves God, meets teenagers where they are at, and is welcoming to all races, gender identities, and sexual orientations.
Over the coming years, we seek to grow our core group of volunteer youth teachers and mentors, and the Director of Youth Ministries will lead that recruitment, and ongoing formation effort. We also seek to deepen our teenagers’ engagement of faith with the concerns and hopes of the world, and become a more fully integrated parish community across age demographics.
The Director of Youth Ministries will join a staff team of thirty who share a healthy and vibrant working life. If you are ready to offer the best of yourself to this ministry among us, we commit to support you, work alongside you, and further equip you for this ministry.
Salary range $50,000 - $60,000 commensurate with experience.
