First United Methodist Church, Cleburne TX

First United Methodist Church of Cleburne Texas is a dynamic and multi-generational community of faith whose mission is to make deeply committed disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world one life at a time. We live into this mission as we Gather in worship and community, Grow in prayer and learning, and Go serving and inviting.
We are a mid-sized church (pre-COVID worship attendance of 350/weekend) located in a community that has a historic county seat identity, and a rapidly suburbanizing reality due to the presence of the Chisholm Trail Parkway. Members of our community can experience small-town life with access to downtown Fort Worth in less than 30 minutes. This is creating a new dynamic within our church, within our schools, and within our community. We are in the beginning stages of living into a multi-year plan to reach those people moving into our community (~1800 families will move into or within Cleburne each year). We will say and embody the truth that “you BELONG here.”
