Job Description

“Vacationland.” That’s what they call this region off the coast of Lake Erie. Huron, Ohio is located just a few miles east of Sandusky, home of Cedar Point Amusement Park, which is famous for its highly rated roller coasters. The city of Huron is easy-going, with public beaches, marinas, a beautiful pier with a harbor light, and popular locations for fishing.

The First Presbyterian Church of Huron is a loving and creative congregation. Many members have roots here that go back a century; others are welcomed in warmly as transplants to the Huron community. Held in common among all is a love for Christ and a desire to pass on the Gospel to children in the community.

You can help us do this by becoming our part-time Children’s Ministry Coordinator. As our CMC, you will organize activities that help us to build bridges between our congregation and our preschool, plus our BSA Cub and Scouting programs. You will also be on the ground floor with us of initiating and innovating Messy Church (or a similar outreach).
