Sometimes we need a word of encouragement or a reminder of God’s presence. Bethel Mileposts are statements of faith and reminders of God’s active and guiding presence in our lives. We hope they’ll help you on your journey of faith.

Jesus is Lord – This is the foundation of our faith. Jesus Christ is our Lord and we hope and pray that our lives reflect His Lordship.
I’m blessed to be a blessing – The Lord has blessed each one of us abundantly with His love, grace and forgiveness. As Christ’s people, we’re invited to extend that blessing to others. To be the “Hands and Feet” of Christ in our community.
Work like it depends on me, pray like it depends on God – We have a responsibility to learn, to work and do all we know to how to do in our journey of faith, but we are a prayerful people and we rely and depend on God’s direction and guidance in our lives.
I need to make the wise choice – The Bible asks us to gain wisdom. This milepost reminds us that in every situation Godly wisdom and guidance is available.
I should treat people the way I want to be treated.
I can trust God for everything
The mission has a Church – The church is not a building, the church is Christ’s people and we’re called to BE the church in our homes, workplaces and communities. Our mission is to experience, embody and extend the grace of Christ to our world.
It’s not about me – Sometimes we can get so focused on what we want out of church that we may lose sight of the idea that the church exists to be a light to others. Christ asks us to look to the needs of others. This milepost is a reminder that we’ve been invited to serve, rather than be served.
I play to an audience of one – This is a reminder that the only person we are trying to please is our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ
My mess can become my message, my test can become my testimony and my misery can become my ministry – This is a reminder that when we’re going through tough times, God can and will use difficult moments in life to grow our faith and to bless and encourage others as they face tough times.
Everyone’s story is a redemption story – We serve a God that can redeem the whole of our lives, even the messy parts that we’re ashamed of.
I am grateful – This is one of the goals of our faith. If we reflect on all Christ has done for us, it doesn’t take long before gratitude begins to rise up within us.
Don’t miss the moment – Every moment we have on earth is to be treasured because it’s a time when we can experience God’s grace and we can share his love with others. Treasure each day. It’s truly a gift from God.
God doesn’t call us to safe places to do easy things – The Christian life is not a life of comfort and ease. God will often allow us to be in uncomfortable situations to grow and mature our faith. The Bible is full of people who were routinely challenged by God.
If you follow God, God’s blessings follow you.
