Staff - Virtual Ministry Assistant
Position Overview
Virtual Ministry Assistants is seeking capable, experienced individuals able to deliver administrative support for churches and ministries on a contractual basis. The responsibilities of this role encompass a variety of technical skills and those who specialize in specific areas of support are welcome to apply. From database management to communication organization to financial systems oversight, the opportunities to assist organizations are many.
Candidate Qualifications
The ideal candidate has a heart for the local church and is a self-starter, able to attend to their workloads efficiently and manage multiple projects at the same time. Experience in the following areas will be most beneficial to the virtual assistant work:
Excellent Communication Skills (verbal and written)
Organizational Skills
Time Management
Attention to Detail
Creative Problem Solving
Organizational Structure
Staff virtual assistants are supported by lead virtual assistants and training is available. The work of a virtual ministry assistant is completed remotely with the potential to work up to 30 hours per week (max). Virtual assistants must have consistent access to the following tools:
personal computer with a functioning camera
smart phone with email capabilities
high speed internet
designated quiet, professional space
Technological Requirements
The following is a list of programs and applications virtual assistants work with regularly:
Google Suite: Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Hangouts, etc.
Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
Mac OS: Numbers, Pages, Keynote, Mail
Social Media: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Hootsuite, Blogs
Online Productivity Tools: LastPass, Expensify, Huddle, Dropbox
