Director of Youth Ministries

Job Description

St. Mark’s Episcopal Church is a neighborhood church located in southwest Houston, TX, and is a traditional congregation with diverse perspectives ranging from progressive to conservative. St. Mark’s is searching for their next full-time Director of Youth Ministries (DYM). The DYM will oversee and coordinate formation for all youth in grades 6-12. The ideal candidate is one with vision and the ability to create and foster an environment of welcome, learning, and spiritual growth in young people to live out St. Mark’s mission “to be a light in the world”.

The Director of Youth Ministries will collaborate with volunteers, staff, and clergy to develop and deliver engaging programs across all facets of the church, including worship, connection, service, and learning with the purpose of empowering youth in their faith journey.

Successful candidates will have deep faith and a love for the Episcopal Church, a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3-5 years of paid ministry experience. A candidate with the ability to demonstrate relational skills with young people as well as provide the organization for a sustainable program is desired.
