Job at First United Methodist Church - Mountain Home
Exciting children and youth position at downtown Atlanta Episcopal church
Job Description
St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in downtown Atlanta is seeking a strategic and relational Director of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF) to guide the congregation in a redevelopment of their formation and programs for all ages. St. Luke’s is active in being the church in the world among the downtown Atlanta community through feeding, connection, and hospitality. Inside of church, they value participation and leadership from all in the congregation, which shows in the support of formation for young people. The DCYF will be responsible for designing, directing, and coordinating programs and activities for the children and youth of St. Luke’s, including a component of support for parents and other caring adults.
This position is equal parts relational and administrative, and a candidate should have proven experience in both capacities. Additional qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree, minimum 3-5 years relevant paid work experience, and a heart for faith formation and Christian life. Though being from the Episcopal church is not a requirement, a willingness to learn and commit to the Episcopal identity, including full participation in worship life, will be important.
Qualified applicants may submit a resume and cover letter to Martha Whitesides [email protected] A full job description can be found on the church website: https://www.stlukesatlanta.org/blog/career-opportunities/.
