First United Presbyterian Church
First United Presbyterian Church is a vital, Christ-centered, outward-focused, 430-member congregation of the Presbyterian Church (USA), served by Co-Pastors Jan and Phil Butin. Our vision is "Reaching out as a visible expression of God's grace, we will meet people where they are, inviting all into Christ's family through engaging worship, fellowship, learning, and service." Currently, the church has a staff of 9, including a part-time Director of Christian Education who also serves United Campus Ministry; a full-time Director of Music Ministries; and a variety of dedicated support staff. We embrace all styles of music in worship, involve youth and children in weekly worship leadership, and cultivate warm, loving relationships across generations among all ages. We are committed to community outreach focused on hunger and homelessness, and embrace a mission partnership with the Presbyterian Church of Honduras. We seek to reflect the breadth of God's love by reaching out as widely as possible both towards the theological and political left and right.
