Job Description

Do you have a passion for working with youth?

Trinity United Methodist Church in Anderson, SC is seeking a full-time Director of Youth Ministries to further build on an established program for grades six through twelve. This individual will engage teenagers in intentional experiences, community, and worship to equip them for a lifetime of discipleship. Engaging with youth today requires someone who is willing to connect with them where they are in their faith journey.

We are seeking someone who has a strong grounding in the Christian faith and the Methodist discipline. The ideal candidate will have three to five years of experience in youth ministry, either paid or volunteer, and strong communication and organizational skills. This position is full-time with benefits, with an initial salary of around $38,000. The previous Youth Director also served in our praise band - musical talents would be welcome and appreciated.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, driver’s license, ability to drive a 14-passenger bus, or learn. Must pass a background check and must be fully committed to Safe Sanctuary policies and procedures for protection of youth.
