Youth ministry associate in a progressive baptist church

Job Description

First Baptist Church is looking for a Youth Ministry associate to create and implement programming for youth grades 7th-12th.

This part-time salaried position requires education in youth ministry, religious education, or experience working with youth.

A bachelor degree is preferred but not required. Baptist affiliation is not required although a candidate must align with the theology and mission of First Austin.

Passing a background check is required.

The Youth Ministry associate reports to the Associate Pastor.

Reduced rent housing is available at our retreat center in southwest Austin.

Our youth ministry has about 30 regular students and has room to grow!

The ideal candidate will have enthusiasm and love for teenagers, awareness of teen culture and social media as well as adolescent development and the ability to create deep and trusting relationships to make a safe and supportive environment.
