For 42 years Lighthouse Baptist Church has ministered to the people of Rutherford County and beyond. We have sought to be a place where people can find healing and hope. We have encountered the struggle of cultural change, the ramifications of COVID and the need for revitalization. Throughout all of this, we continue to be a church that loves people. Lighthouse is a community of faith that can truly be characterized as a family. Revitalization of our family has continued through the Holy Spirit's work in unifying our leadership team and the calling of Pastor David Dean in 2021. The Holy Spirit has continued to shape our culture in ways that are unseen as God prepares us for health and growth. With this movement of the Holy Spirit, the prayers of God's people, the mobilization of the saints, and the addition of two new staff members in the last year, we believe we are on the cusp of God Building the Future of Lighthouse that will amaze us.

JOB SUMMARY
Lighthouse Baptist Church in Murfreesboro, Tennessee seeks a full-time Student Pastor who will be responsible for ministering to families with students in grades 6-12 in our church and in the wider community by reaching out to, caring for, and teaching spiritual formation. We expect the candidate to have a growing, personal relationship with Christ, and a big heart for students. This individual should possess effective communication skills, the ability to work as both a team player and as a leader, the capacity to think outside of the box as well as a desire to continue to grow and learn.

CANDIDATE COMPETENCIES
•A Bachelor's degree in a ministry-related field •1-2 years of experience with in student ministry •Active member of a Baptist church •Strong commitment to personal spiritual growth and development •Strong communication and interpersonal skills •Ability to connect with teenagers and their families •Capacity to mentor and develop volunteers •Demonstrate a heart for evangelism and outreach •Proficient in office software, social media, & other communication platforms. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
•Coordinate with the Lead Pastor and other ministry leaders to ensure that the student ministry aligns with the overall vision of the church •Organize and lead from the perspective of a relational family ministry •Plan ahead to allow for prayer, clear outcomes, and needed resources • Participate & contribute in weekly staff meetings & other leadership meetings
•Develop small group structure to facilitate discipleship, community, & growth •Recruit & train volunteers to serve in student ministry •Provide opportunities for students to serve in ministry, missions, & outreach •Plan events that encourage outreach and fellowship •Communicate with parents in various forms (i.e. social media, website, etc.) and maintain methods to receive feedback •Plan and implement outreach to local schools •Provide resources (i.e. groups, counseling, etc.) to students & families as needed
