Job Title: Student Ministry Project Manager

Ministry/Department: Students

Reports to: Student Director

Status: Full-time, exempt

Supervisory Role: No

OBJECTIVE
This Student Ministry Project Manager is responsible for providing project oversight and administrative support to the Student Ministry Director and overall Student Ministry team as it seeks to reinforce weekly worship gatherings and events by providing environments and tools for students to discover and deepen their relationship with Jesus Christ.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Support the Student Director through calendar management; scheduling calendar items and following up on appropriate action steps, requests and responsibilities
Represent the Student Ministry team at ministry area meetings, as necessary
Schedule and support both the planning and execution of team meetings, off-sites and team care/fun
Create project plans and communicate timelines for Student Ministry events. (i.e., parent open house, Saturated, ONE Weekend, all campus serve staff trainings and summer camp)
Monitor work schedules throughout project lifecycles and track progress to ensure all tasks are completed
Create and maintain effective organization, planning and calendaring systems primarily through Basecamp, to support all Student Ministry projects and team management
Actively create, update and manage Student Ministry metrics that include weekly attendance of students, serve staff, next step decisions and growth percentages
Actively work towards improving our data base system (The Rock) and team project management system (Basecamp)
Work with support ministries (Operations, Hospitality, Comm) to execute Student Ministry initiatives throughout the year
Support the Student Director in budget preparation, bi-monthly budget reviews and credit card reporting to ensure the Student Ministry operates within the budget allotted and time allotted each month
Oversee and manage the contractor budget and contractor payroll bi-weekly
Identify breakdowns/problems and report them to the Student Director so systems and plans continue to move forward
Review, evaluate and implement changes as required by event/project needs
Assist the Student Director with the launching of new campuses as needed

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
3-5 year’s administrative or clerical support experience for a large team or department
Have strong computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel and have the ability to learn and use new computer software on an as needed basis
POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a full-time, exempt position. Days and hours of work are Monday thru Friday, 8:30am-5pm.

The church has several big events, (“All-Skates”) throughout the year to help further the mission of Eleven22. These events are mandatory for all staff to be in attendance and may vary, depending on the vision cast for the current year.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.

MINISTERIAL EXCEPTION
The ministerial exception furthers the purposes of the Free Exercise and Establishment Clauses of the First Amendment by barring legal claims against church bodies by staff members who perform religious functions. All church pastors are subject to the exception, but a formal ministerial credential is not required. While there is no rigid formula to determine other church staff members that qualify, various factors are considered to determine which staff members are subject to the ministerial exception (please see handbook).
